Free Itunes Voucher: Too Good To Be True?
I’ve been using iTunes for a few years now, not through preference, but it is the simplest software I’ve used to sync with my iPod. I have normally bought music on CD, and never really felt that buying the mp3 versions of albums carry the same value as a hard album; however they seem to carry the same price tag!
Recently I was searching the internet for discounts on iTunes music, and came across loads of YouTube videos telling you how to ‘hack’ iTunes codes and other shady methods of getting free credit. Whilst searching through these results, I came across a way of getting a free £50 iTunes voucher! All I had to do is to complete an offer, such as a free LOVEFiLM trial, and then get some friends to do the same. This seemed too good to be true, but as it was free, I decided to give it a go, and to my surprise after a week or so, a £50 iTunes voucher arrived in my email inbox!
The whole idea is based on affiliate marketing, which offers incentives to join up to a retailer as a new customer. The same concept is used by Sky when they offer you £50 M&S vouchers as a reward for recommending their service to friends and family. In order to be able to offer several retailers, you use a free gift network such as FreebieJeebies, who take a very small cut from each reward (normally around £2) and they take away the hassle of confirming and redeeming your reward.
I created a website www.freeiTunesvoucher.com to help people further understand how the whole process works, and let them make their own choice based on facts. I hope you have a visit after reading this, and there is a comment form on the website, I would appreciate any feedback.
