Since Craigslist has many visitors monthly and is popular already nowadays, it gives many opportunities then especially in the field of affiliate marketing wherein internet marketers use Craigslist to increase the profit of their websites. It gives great opportunities then to website owners who are looking for affiliates as their marketer and affiliates looking for businesses looking for them.
First we must know more about affiliate marketing. It is marketing strategy wherein the business owner hires an affiliate to market for their business. Not only this, they pay their affiliates based on the performance and they must achieve their goal. Often, it is usually in three forms which are the following:

* Pay Per Sale
*Pay Per Lead
In the “Pay per Click” program, a coded link on the sponsor’s website is placed on the website so whenever it is clicked, it adds to the income of the affiliate which is agreed upon with the sponsor. In the “Pay per Sale”, almost the same with the first but here, the visitor must purchase. Lastly, in the “Pay per Lead” campaign, registration of visitor in the sponsor’s site or inquiry for more details will give more money to the affiliate.

Business owners can use Craigslist also to find their own affiliates but you must remember that this is forbidden in the Terms and Conditions of Craigslist. This only says that the job posting policies must be reviewed and understood well. So to find affiliates, they must look for other useful areas of the site.One way to search for potential affiliates is by joining and participating in discussion forums to interact with more people who may have potential but you must be very careful to avoid being called a spammer. This may not be noticed by potential affiliates but if caught, this may also lead to penalties instructed by the management. So the right way to find affiliates is to give logical replies or comments to discussions that will be the first step in knowing other people who may have potential. Another way is to attach a link about your affiliate marketing program in your posts.
Affiliates looking for Opportunities on Craigslist
With the use of Craigslist, more opportunities are open for affiliates looking for job even if posting this kind of work is not allowed because the original poster may not be aware of these policies or may have ignored it. There is a big chance that this kind of posts can be removed but what is more important is that they stayed at least on the site even in a short time only. At least some saw it and may have interest to be one of your affiliates.
You may put your advertisements in the resume or service section. Another technique is to build network with people in the discussion forums. In that way, more people would see your advertisement looking for potential affiliates without getting noticed by the management saving you from penalties.
