Costco Online Business Supplies
Can someone explain the process of selling products online to me?
I want to start an online business similar to the likes of BritishCandy and HandyCandy where they sell chocolate and confectionery. I’m only seventeen years of age but I’m looking to create a website where I can generate some income.
However, I’m not fully sure how it works. I wanted to run the business from home but I’m not sure if this can be done. I wanted to purchase the products from a wholesaler such as Costco, seeing as though I don’t have any other form of supply. And in terms of dispatching the products, I’m not sure how that works. How do I get the product from my house to the customer’s house. That’s the stumbling block at the minute because I’m starting to think that online businesses need a warehouse instead.
Can someone explain to me the whole process to clear my head? Thank you.
How do I transport the products from my home to the customer’s?
In reality, there’s no difference in online and offline selling.
- You buy products from the manufacturers (In this case, candy)
- People order from your website. (Replacement for a store.)
- You process the order.
- You send the items to the customer.
It can be sort of automated, but manual ensures smooth (But somewhat slower) operation.
So in essence, it CAN be at home.
