Free Online Business Setup
Is it illegal to open an online account without any certificates or licenses?
Okay, I want to start an online business and I kind of already started. I am using this free -web hosting site called “Weebly.com” So I created this free website and I added my paypal information and its all setup; ( i just don’t have any products yet). I live in Michigan and so my question is, am I allowed to have this online store without any ssl certificate or licenses or any of that. Is it illegal or legal? I just want to make some extra money thats it. I dont want no huge business. Please explain to me! I really need this answered!

Hey Riste,
I would recommend that you look up some basic info on Google on how to set up a company, even though if it is small. It would be the most prudent thing to do.
BUt it’s not the only way. You can always start off as a sole proprietor and earn some small amounts of money on the side. I’m not from the US, but I would agree that you would probably need to declare your income if you do profit from your venture.
