What unusual, rare, or exotic food should I buy?
Tomorrow I’m going to Cincinnati’s own Jungle Jim’s International Market, which is home to every food you can imagine and plenty which you can’t. Given the insane number of new things to try and buy, I am leaving the decision to you, the Internet! What would YOU buy?
Umeboshi were actually going to be the thing I was gonna stock up on when I went; I can’t get enough of those!
Hmmm… hard to say without knowing what they have. But apart from looking around to see what strikes my fancy, I would try getting:
Lemon curd from the UK
Stuffed olives from the Med
Lychees from Asia
Coconut water from Thailand
Fresh mozzarella balls from Italy
Any kind of French Brie/Camembert
Pfanni or Knorr brand Kloesse (dumpling) mix from Germany
Ritter Sport chocolate from Germany
Katjes licorice from Netherlands/Germany
Hungarian salami
Different foreign sodas/beverages to try
Quail eggs
Russian caviar
French champagne
