annual average uk salary 24k?
What came out of recent studies, is that the average annual wage in the uk is 24k.
Now, i have been looking on the internet for jobs (in sales,marketing, customer care etc.) and i noticed that many don’t even offer 20,000 a year! Obviously the 24k figure has come out looking at all salaries(manager,doctor’s salaries etc) but generally speaking i believe that the majority of people living in the Uk live with less than 24k.

I could well imagine that £24,000 would be about average.
Remember that London salaries certainly inflate the national average. I live in London and I earn almost £27,000 and I have what I consider to be a low-ish standard of living: I live in a share house because I can’t afford to live by myself, I can only afford to spend a small amount on clothes and other items, and I never travel due to lack of funds. I know that most of my friends earn more than I do, even those that work in relatively unskilled jobs like administration positions. As an example, one of my friends earns £28,000 as a team secretary, and another earns £30,000 as a PA. And remember, London covers quite a large area and quite a large amount of people; plus there are parts of the home counties like Berkshire and Surrey in which people would earn comparable salaries.
You’re also correct in the fact that of course those in high-paying professions like doctors would earn more. Remember too that there are entertainers, professional footballers and so on who might not make up a huge proportion of the population, but who earn such huge amounts that it still raises the average.
Now, with regard to the information you have been finding from the jobs that you’re looking for, remember that customer care positions do typically pay very little: you’d be lucky to get more than minimum wage. Sales positions generally pay a low base salary because you get paid commission, meaning that your take-home pay could be considerably more than the figures that you’re looking at.
