Internet Marketing Modules
Have I been studying ICT or Admin?
Im on an apprenticeship, studying ICT.
In september im going to University to study business with ICT.
The units I have studied so far on my apprenticeship has been
e-commerce
e-marketing
Professional use of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Powerpoint
Using the Internet, very brief HTML.
However, when people ask me what area of ICT I am studying i never really know what to say, because I have no web design experience, I am using a user friendly web application not actually designing myself..
Everything I am studying to do with ICT are applications and software rather than the usual computing stuff.
Really.. am I studying proper ICT?

Firstly…lucky you. 4 years at uni to look forward to!
Having glanced over the module information, none have any prerequistites. This suggests that the module will develop your knowledge base. Apart from the Russian module which seems a bit brief!
You’ll find some modules easier than others. Students on your degree may have done a IT course and may not have the commerce and business knowledge that you possess. You may have people coming with ‘A’ levels that have a differenet background too.
Have you spoken to the tutor at the uni? Or even their admissions department. It’s always worth discussing any concerns you have with them before you start the course.
