Can I become a paralegal with an A.S. in Criminal Justice?
Can I become a paralegal with an A.S. in Criminal Justice?
I am interested in becoming a paralegal, due to the job description, salary and growth in the market. There are no programs around here that are ABA approved. I have read on the internet you can become a paralegal with an A.S. in Criminal Justice, is this true?
Another job I would be interested would be a Humane Officer, which would go hand and hand with the Criminal Justice Degree.
Otherwise it is an A.S. in business or accounting, which I hear it a pointless degree to obtain.
First of all, I feel no amount of education is pointless, except maybe algebra not sure why I had to take that (math was never one of my fortes) but I am sure a mathmatician would disagree with me here.
Okay, all kidding aside, not sure where you hail from but I am going to give this a shot…there are some reputable colleges that do give wonderful online classes and give a degree upon completion, but I would suggest you do your homework on these online universities.
Criminal Justice is a highly lucrative field where you can go into many fields of work such as paralegal, correctional officer, forensics, investigator to name a few. As for Humane Officer, that is a wonderful heart-pulling job, I would say you need some thick skin to deal with some of the stories you will be dealing with.
