Internet Marketing Proposal

Why does the 0bama regime want to conduct a “media overhaul”? Is this the start of 0bamaPravda, USSA?
“The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is seeking ways to “reinvent” journalism, and that’s a cause for concern. According to a May 24 draft proposal, the agency thinks government should be at the center of a media overhaul. The bureaucracy sees it as a problem that the Internet has introduced a wealth of information options to consumers, forcing media companies to adapt and experiment to meet changing market needs. FTC’s policy staff fears this new reality.
…
“…government policy would encourage a tax on websites like the Drudge Report, a must-read source for the news links of the day, so that the agency can redistribute the funds collected to various newspapers.”

Probably because he wants to control what we hear. The Drudge Report does not offer opinion. They offer news stories from many sources. I guess the real news must be taxed. Notice there is no news source left that is not filled with opinion and slanted views. Some very important stories are completely unreported which is a form of bias in itself. I have to go to foreign sources to find out what happened on any given day. Even if his real motive is to stop the vitriol that is created by some outlets, it would still be a violation of the first amendment to make it so people must pay to read their favorite source of information. Who will decide which sources are to be taxed? There is no way to enforce this without bias at its origin.
