I’m looking for a useful hobby? I’ve recently renounced creative writing…?
I’m 19 and a first-year university student. I’ve discovered the ugly market side of creative writing and, not wanting to live poor for the rest of my life, have decided to move on to better things. I’ve tried scriptwriting, poetry, novel-writing, and short stories. It becomes hopeless when you know that your at the whim of an editor/producer etc for getting any money. I’ve learned many things from writing and I don’t regret the time I spent on it but I believe its time that I moved on to bigger and better things.
I’m looking for a new hobby, perhaps something creative, that can actually be used in the real world to generate income. I’ve been looking on the internet and I can’t seem to find anything useful. What do you think?
