How to use headhunters when looking for a new position?
Hi, I am currently employed, but am looking to switch positions into a private company (I work for a consulting arm in public accounting). I have been applying online, and when I can through people I know. However, I have only been working for three years, so I do not have a very large business network (at least of people with any sort of pull). I am using one head hunter now, and haven’t really looked into using more than one because I didn’t want to many people involved. Is it recommended to use more than one headhunter at a time? I am eager to see what new opportunities are out there. However, I actually like the headhunter I am working with, which is truly rare, so I didn’t want to spoil the relationship by working with another one on the side.
Before using headhunters (they are really tricky) I suggest to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses.
