Online Business Grant Application
Is there a GOVERNMENT website where I can apply for a grant, by myself, without having to pay for a CD?
I see all these ads about government grants to pay off bills, help with rent, repair your car, start your own business, etc…BUT when I got online to research this, I found all these companies offering a CD for shipping only (PLUS a trial membership that will cost you $40/month after the first 7 days). If these grants are really available, then surely the government has a website where you fill out applications yourself, right?
The idea that the federal government gives out money to any ole’ person is an urban legend. They don’t give out cash for people to start a business, fix their roof, pay bills, pay debt, remodel their house or a car to make it handicapped accessable…
The only real government grant that is available to INDIVIDUALS is call the Pell grant, and it is for college expenses. To apply, go to http://fafsa.ed.gov The Pell grant goes directly to the school to pay for tuition, books, fees, living expenses….
Anyone wanting to sell you a CD is a scam artist, and although you might actually get some information off of it, none of the grants listed will YOU be able to apply for because you are an individual.
Here is a FREE list of all government grants. Note the .gov in the end of their website. This tells you that they are a real government agency and not some for profit business trying to sell you snake oil.

These are geared towards those instituions wishing to study the mating rituals of the African Butterfly, the Red North American Fox, study the global warming effects of the Arizona Trout, nutrition and tobacco effects on children living in reservations, again, not something an individual can apply for.
