Online Business Licensing Services
Do online businesses have the same rules, laws and regulations as that of local businesses?
I am a freelancer and want to advertise my office and writing-related services on a few public message boards. Do I have to follow the same rules as if I were opening a local business?
I live in the US and know that I will have to pay income taxes, but do I need any special business licensing and if so, how or where do I obtain it?
Any answers would be appreciated.
You have to follow all of the business laws in your city, in your state as well as any federal laws. You are not an online business. You are merely considering advertising online.
