Online Business Objectives
What order is calculus learned in?
I’m taking Calculus for Business and Social Science next semester and I’m trying to get a head start. I’ve been reviewing polynomials and how to factor them, since that seems very important in finding limits.
After limits, what should I start studying? I looked at learning objectives for some courses that post syllabus information online, and it looks like derivatives and integrals would come next. Am I right? And are there any other aspects of algebra that I should polish up on?
When I learned it, we went from limits to the definition of the derivative to derivation techniques and rules to applications. Integration pretty much went the same way (definition, etc.), and then we learned some infinite sequences and series stuff and power series.
