Online Business Office Address
For an LLC with main business activities in MD and some in NY, do you need to register in both states?
I am starting an online business with my brother-in-law. He lives in MD i live in NY. Fulfillment and office address will be in MD, but some activities such as marketing and management will be done in NY. Do I have to register in both states? Also LLC would be the most beneficial form correct?
Yes, if you are performing business activities within another state then you must register with that state. If you were sending your advertising from MD to NY then that would be a different story, but since you will be doing these activities from NY, then you must register with NY.
