Online Business Quizzes
Is this professional?
All my teachers this year are fantastic, except for one. My Principles of Business teacher teaches like she barely knows the stuff. All of her lessons aren’t her own; she finds them online where somebody else has them done for her. When we go to the computer to “research” and take online quizzes (that she also doesn’t make), nearly all the students can be playing games and she barely cares. All the questions on the tests she gives us are straight from the online quizzes. They haven’t changed once, so all you have to do is memorize the right answer. That is NOT learning, that is memorizing! This last test, she forgot to put a quiz online and NOBODY knew the answers to those questions on the test. Speaking of which, she has me make the answer key after I finish the test! She also doesn’t know how to operate on of the projectors, and doesn’t even know the answers to many of the problems on her own “worksheets.”
She may have been forced to teach a class that she has never taught before due to staff cutbacks. This doesn’t make it ok for you though! Depending on how you feel, you could discuss your concerns with her (respectfully) or bring this to the attention of the department head or principal. Be calm, professional and have evidence. Be professional yourself, and speak of your concerns for your learning. If you don’t get satisfaction, get your parents involved.
Remember – a respectful tone will get you a long way.
