Online Business Success Rate
Online college questions?
Alright, so the city I plan to live in does not have any colleges. The closest one is about an hour away. So I was wondering about online classes, but I have no clue about them. What all do you have to pay? If I live in one state, can I take online classes of a college in another state? What is the success rate of people who take online classes? How does this whole thing work? Do you have any online recommendations for classes in psychology and a minor in business? Any answers would be much appreciated. Please and thank you!
The price depends on what college you go to. Community colleges especially are jumping on the online class bandwagon not because they are bad schools or anything just because of the huge variation in student type they receive. A lot of people cannot feasibly get themselves into a classroom for one reason or another.
I do not think you can live in one state and take online classes in another for the reason that even though you spend a majority of the class online you have to check-in after so often and physically be on campus. This wouldn’t be too bad going in every month if its an hour away but if your in Kansas taking online classes at RCC it might get a little nutty.
I personally am not a fan of the online class. There is SO much that you learn during lecture and discussion that you can never learn online. Sure they have blackboard and the teachers can post lectures through a live feed but it is really hard to get that live interaction going that is so so SO important to learning. For people looking to brush up on their education I think online classes are great. They are a nice non-intimidating way to get people back into the rhythm of learning. However I STRONGLY discourage the 100% online curriculum (meaning all your classes are taken online) ESPECIALLY for someone looking to get their bachelor’s. This should be your time to take leaps and bounds in your intellectual development. I don’t know if online classes are a great way to thrive….just to get by.
