Submit Online Business Articles

what would u do if u didn’t get paid?
im a freelance writer and i’ve written a few articles for this new magazine. the editor is a really nice guy-at least tru the business emails he’s sent me. i’ve never actually met him in person, cuz this is purely just me writing n submitting online. anyway, it’s been abt 1 and a half months since i’ve written the articles and i’ve yet to receive the promised paycheck which is $50 per article. is there a tactful way i can ask for my pay?
i dont wanna come across as some money faced pig, but i badly need the paycheck-i didn’t write those articles for free!!! um……..i don’t wanna like offend him or anything by outrightly asking for the payment, because i’m planning to do an intership at W magazine and he’s one of my references so i don’t wanna piss him off and then he screws up my chance.
The point is, how do i ask for my paycheck without actually asking? he seems to have forgotten or taken granted of it. please help.
Ask for your money in a way that doesn’t look like your really asking for it. If you get what I mean. For example:
“Just checking your have the right bank details because it hasn’t gone through yet and you might have the wrong details.”
or
“I can’t remember, did you say $50 or $55 per article?”
or
“Would I be able to get a copy of my payslip? I need to give the details of it to tax office.”
Yeah that’s just some ideas. Sorry they aren’t that good
