Wamu Online Business Accounts
Opened WAMU online checking and savings accounts.?
I currently have a checking and savings account with ING Direct. However, I recently applied to get a WAMU savings and checking account. Everything seems like it went ok, but I didn’t automatically receive an account number.
Does WAMU take a few business days to manually review and approve all accounts or is this something I should be concerned about?
Generally, you should get both account numbers right after you are done opening the account. This information should have printed so that you have a hard copy of it. If you did not get that information, or you cannot go online and look at the accounts, a few things might have happened.
The most probable thing is an internet disruption. This can cause trouble in finishing the process, and your account may or may not have been opened. You can find out by calling the WaMu customer service line at 1-800-788-7000. If you briefly explain the situation to one of the customer service reps they will be able to look for you in the system and see if an account had been opened. Another option you have is to actually go to a local branch. Hope that helps!
