what is url masking for affiliate marketing?
I heard that when affiliates “mask” url, it is better from the search engine perspective. It is less likely that my keywords will become inactive as google adword does not see this as a link to affiliate site. Is this true? Please explain.
I use a product called Super Affiliate Link Manager. There is a link in my profile. It takes your affiliate link and makes it pretty, short, and you can cloak it so that your affiliate ID cannot be removed.
People will find a way to get around it if they really want to but most of the time it isn’t a problem.
